Concept

Measured, modelled, offered

The sixth instrument. A claim is checked and repeatable; or a structure that organizes what is known and earns its place by use; or a story put forward because it helps. All three legitimate, only the first is evidence, and the failure is a model or a story borrowing a measurement's authority — which happens to the author first.
